On our way

We're out of the hotel, 4 hours till our first match. We're 5 games out of first right now and this afternoon we will probably see many of the teams we have already beaten.

Hotel

We're at the hotel. Pizza for dinner! First round is at 3 tomorrow.

We lost 295-330 in a close match with Utica Academy. Hopefully we make a good showing and see them again tomorrow.

Win #3

Up 555-300 over Jackson Christian

Win #2

495-150 over Hillsdale

Win #1

400-110 over Watervilet.

Here we go

Our first round against Watervilet is about to start. Hopefully you'll see some good scores soon!

As expected, Detroit Country Day destroyed North Branch in the match we watched this morning. After lunch in the union, we're about to watch South Lake against Fremont in room F.

Learning from the best

Our first match is at 1:15. Until then: watch various rounds in the class A/B tournament and have lunch. Currently we are watching Detroit Country Day face off against North Branch in room H of the Student Union.

Information

You can find more information about the tournament, including brackets, at the tournament's website.

Or just download the brackets.

We're on the way to the 2011 State Quiz Bowl Tournament. Mr. Holm jokingly mentioned live results at opening ceremony, so I decided to make that happen. Hopefully I'll be able to keep this blog up to date with how we're doing. The team consists of: Daniel Karlovich, Dean Robinson, Andrew Ruchames, Dillon Murray, and Anders Kiledal. Check out the Tracking page to see where we are.
